Lois Englund will be teaching the Musical Theatre Technique class on Saturday Mornings from 10-11:15 am.

Best known for her portrayal as Val in “A Chorus Line” on Broadway, Lois has performed feature roles in over a dozen other Broadway shows including DANCIN, CABARET, SHOWBOAT, CAROUSEL, MAME, and ANNIE. Lois has worked with Hal Prince, Bob Fosse, Michael Bennet, Francoise Szony and Agnes DeMille. In addition to acting, directing and choreographing shows all over the world, Lois has served as Artistic Director for Musical Theatre Works at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Lois is a certified yoga teacher in Ashtanga, Anusara and Vinyasa.

Our Adult jazz class starts with a good-morning stretch, followed by warm-ups, isolations, core-strengthening exercises, stretch and flexibility, splits, and diagonals across the floor. The second half of the class is devoted to original Broadway choreography, such as "One" from A CHORUS LINE, and broadway-influenced choreography.

If you've ever been interested at taking a dance class but have been too scared to try, this class is for you. The class has beginner - professional level, and Lois is an expert at making sure everyone in the class learns, benefits, and has fun.
